Hello Sierra View friends and family!
As we usher in the beautiful month of June, we’re thrilled to share all the wonderful activities and events we have planned to keep our community lively, engaged, and full of joy. With the sunshine bringing warmth to our days, there’s no better time to come together and celebrate the vibrant life we cherish here at Sierra View.
Starting this month, we’re excited to introduce Morning Patio Gatherings. Every Monday morning, join us on the patio for a refreshing start to your day with fresh coffee, delightful conversations, and the calming sounds of nature. Plus, don’t miss our special Music at the Library session, happening the Monday, the 17th of June. Enjoy soothing tunes and share a musical journey with friends.
Bingo lovers, rejoice! We’ve packed our schedule to bring you more opportunities to play and win. Bingo is held four times a week. Let’s keep those bingo players busy and the excitement high!
We have a fantastic lineup of activities planned throughout the week to keep everyone engaged and entertained. Here’s a sneak peek at some of our exciting events for June:
Crafts: Join us for crafts every Monday afternoon!
Chair Yoga: Jeanette comes every Sunday for a gentle stretching and mindfulness session.
Patio Hour: Enjoy fresh air and great company on the patio on Mondays.
Walkabouts: Stroll around our beautiful grounds and take in the scenery. Make it to the flagpole and back for an extra boost!
Manicures and Music: Sign up to enjoy a relaxing manicure with our dedicated volunteers.
Happy Hour: Socialize with friends over refreshments.
Field Trips: Join us on outings to local attractions.
Movies and Popcorn: Relax with a good movie and tasty snacks.
Ice Cream Socials: Indulge in sweet treats and good conversation.
Balloon Badminton: Every Tuesday morning at 11:30!
June is packed with special events, including:
Music, Rhythm, and Rhyme with Nory on June 13th and June 27th.
Bobby Sox: Enjoy a visit with our favorite pup on May 20th!
Father’s Day Celebration: Honor the fathers in our community with a special celebration on June 14th.
The month of June is PRIDE month.
Birthday Celebration: Join us in celebrating the birthdays of our wonderful residents Gary and Linda!
Did you know Kris L., our resident of the month has a special connection to Fairyland in Oakland? Her dad worked there, so Kris’s connection was magical but also sentimental! This fun fact was a special part of her childhood memories. For more on Kris, check out her resident spotlight on the bulletin boards by the Activities Room.
