SEPTEMBER 2024 NEWSLETTER

Dear Residents and Families,

As the vibrant colors of fall begin to paint the landscape, we are thrilled to welcome September with a calendar packed full of activities that promise to keep everyone engaged, entertained, and full of joy. Whether you love music, crafts, games, or simply enjoying the crisp autumn air, there’s something special for each of you to look forward to this month.

As we step into September, the magic of fall begins to take hold in our beloved Grass Valley. The once lush green leaves are now transforming into a breathtaking palette of reds, oranges, and golds, creating a picturesque backdrop that reminds us of the beauty of change. There’s something about the coming and going of seasons that stirs a sense of nostalgia. The crispness in the air transports us back to memories of cozy sweaters, warm apple cider, and fun fall activities!

Chair Exercise with Jeanette: Start your Sunday mornings with a refreshing dose of energizing gentle exercise! Jeanette will be leading our chair exercise sessions every Sunday at 10:30 AM. It’s a wonderful way to stay active and start your day on a positive note.

Tao Chi with Deborah: We are excited to introduce Deborah, our new Tai Chi instructor, who will be joining us on Monday, September 30th at 11:30 AM. Tai Chi is a gentle and flowing form of exercise that promotes relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to Tai Chi, Deborah’s welcoming and expert guidance will help you connect with your body and mind, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to experience the calming and restorative benefits of Tai Chi with Deborah!

If you like sports, get ready for some lighthearted fun with Balloon Badminton on Tuesdays at 11:30 AM! This playful activity is a great way to stay active while enjoying laughter and friendly competition. No athletic experience is required—just grab a balloon and a noodle, and let the fun begin! It’s the perfect way to get moving, socialize, and brighten up your day. Come join us and feel like a kid again!

We’re shaking things up! Join us for Happy Hour, now moved to Friday evenings at 4:00 PM. It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend with friends, laughter, and your favorite drinks. Whether you prefer a classic cocktail or something non-alcoholic, Happy Hour is all about unwinding, relaxing, and enjoying great company. Come raise a glass with us and toast to the weekend ahead!

We warmly invite you to join us at Sierra View Chapel on Friday, September 13th at 1:30 PM for a time of reflection, prayer, and community. This serene gathering offers a peaceful space to connect with your faith, share in fellowship, and find comfort in the quiet moments of spiritual togetherness. Whether you seek solace or simply wish to be in the presence of others, Sierra View Chapel is a welcoming place for all. We look forward to sharing this meaningful time with you.

Bingo Bonanza: Bingo lovers, rejoice! We have Bingo sessions lined up almost every day of the week, including a special Wildlife Bingo on the 4th and Pirate Bingo on the 19th. Mark your calendars and get ready to shout “Bingo!” and win!

Field Trips Galore: September is packed with exciting field trips. From the sweet treats at CoCo’s Creamery on the 4th to the automotive wonders at the Roamin’ Angels Car Show on the 7th, there’s an adventure for everyone.
